House of ZS- A new Journey
I am sure you are all wondering why the name change? Many of you have been asking me the same question regarding the new website interface and name change. I always pride myself on transparency so I decided to share every little bit of truthful detail with you ladies. Heres the story 🙂

As you all know “From Turkey with Love” was my very first collection inspired by my travels through Turkey and research into ancient historical symbols across various religions in Eastern europe, the middle east & the Mediterranean region. Each piece was designed and created in Turkey and brought to SA to give those who have not had the luxury of travel a little piece of this side of the world. All the pieces come with a motivational and inspiring message on it to keep you all optimistic no matter what challenges you are faced with on a daily basis.

After traveling back and forth between Turkey and South Africa, having launched two different collections during 2015 within various boutiques across Cape Town, I decided the previous name “From Turkey with love” did not represent me, the brand or our mission. So I decided to make it a collection & rebrand the business. I wanted the brand to represent my South African roots , who I am and also be a house of luxury jewellery & accessories for every women to identify with and enjoy wearing on any occasion not just for the sparkle but as a motivation to keep her going through anything!
This year I traveled back to Europe in a quest to bring everyone back home the latest international trends at affordable prices so I decided to spend half the year abroad. This was challenging, being away from home is not easy!I was faced with many challenges in my personal & business life. One of the most bazaar challenges I had to face was with a copy cat back in Cape Town(I am sure you can all relate to this).
An old lady pretending to be a client who claimed to have been inspired from my brand , she had bought bulk of my Euphoria collection and started selling them as “her own collection”. I had just launched the collection and this was the last thing I needed! The individual knew that what she was doing was illegal and against the law but she continues to sell whatever stock she has left of my brand as her own with no shame. Luckily my attorneys backed me on this as well as many clients in CT. I learnt that pathetic people of this caliber who lack originality, can only steal your ideas, backbite and copy what you have already done but they CAN NEVER STEAL your vision!Don’t let copy cats with no shame & stupid ways get to you. Rise above it & always strive to be yourself.NEVER be an imitation of someone else’s work.
The first 4 months away from home this year I devoted to the new collection. My life once again consisted of late nights, early mornings on another continent away from home brainstorming & trying to source the best crystals from around the world. A lot of sacrifices and risk was taken but I was on a mission to bring you all the latest international trends and best of the best whilst trying to embrace my roots.

After 4 months of hard work, drama from copy cats and those rare individuals who want to push you down in life when they see your moving forward… I am sure you can imagine how super anxious I was to launch the new collection ? I was super nervous! With the help of my close friends and clients I worked up the courage to let go of my anxiety & JUST DO IT!
The name change and new collection turned out to be a success the first month after launching it. The brand and myself were featured in Newspapers national wide right across South Africa like Cape Argus(Cape Town), The Daily news(Durban) & The star(Johannesburg).
At the end of the day we just need to remind ourselves that as women we can do anything we set our minds to despite the challenges we face on a daily basis. NEVER let the opinions of others define who you are or what you want to do in life!NEVER let criticism affect you or get you down, NEVER let pathetic copy cats affect your journey just see it as a compliment. Most importantly NEVER forget to dream big and strive for what you want.
After launching the campaign I was so grateful to have such a professional, competent & amazing team in Cape Town who worked so hard on the new campaign whilst I was abroad for one whole week. They are definitely super women,I am going to share all the behind the scenes details of the international campaign with you all in the next post as well as who the amazing women are who helped me pull it off.
P.S you ladies DON’T want to miss on on the gorgeous behind the scenes pictures and details coming soon.Have an amazing week & never forget to dream BIG, you can do anything you put your mind to!
